(aka 'Shermie') - 2004 Bay Stallion

We named Shermie "Zee Si Si Topz" as a play on the initials (ZCC) of his famous grandsire, Zips Chocolate Chip. His barn name, "Shermie" is in honor of Lil's father, Sherman, who gave her the money to purchase the colt. We bought Shermie at auction when he was a weanling. We knew when we saw him that he was a fabulous find! Shermie has a very mellow disposition, and he has been a nice horse to train and to work with. SHERMIE'S PEDIGREE (opens in new window) His first foal was born Feb. 28, 2007, out of our homebred mare Te Aura Seeker. Te Aura Seeker's dam Te Kay Ruby had halter points and was a daughter of Te N Te out of a great all around show linebred Harlan mare, Gina Robey.   Te Kay Ruby's full sister was a great halter mare (in the days before halter horses had to be so overdone), Teangela. At right is a picture of "Chocolates Seeker." We think that 99% of the stallions out there are not really 'stallion material' and should be gelded. We hope to show Shermie to prove that he is worthy of being a breeding stallion.

Shermie's daddy Mega Chip is owned by Duane and Marlene Putnam. His dam, SD Ritzy Miss, is a product of the Putnam's fine Quarter Horse breeding program that goes back for decades. SD Ritzy Miss was ridden and shown in Open AQHA Western Pleasure classes by Doug Putnam and shown in Youth by Putnam's grandson Sam and granddaughter Savanna. SD Ritzy Miss' first foal, by Certified Zippo, earned $1500 in the NSBA.

Mega Chip is a young sire whose oldest get were only 3 years old in 2006, but 3 of them have earned points. All three are related to Shermie by having the same sire and also by having common ancestors on the dams' sides.
